Description

Chandler & Campbelle is hiring for a full-time Shuttle Dispatcher to work at the BNA - Nashville International Airport. This person needs to be able to work 12 hour shifts with limited supervision along with actively having a CDL in the event shuttle buses need fueling and to be moved on the lots. This position will require someone to work weekends as well as overnight shifts. This employee must also have a clean and clear background and be able to obtain an airport badge and successfully complete a drug screening.

1. Purpose

The Dispatcher will provide support and assistance to Shuttle Bus Operators in the performance of their shift duties in order to maintain an efficient and reliable shuttle bus system.

Dispatchers will be responsible for the duties listed below. In addition, shift Dispatchers will also be responsible for extra duties assigned by the MOD, HRM, AGM and GM.

Dispatchers should make sure they have the phones forwarded to the dispatch phone, they should have the on-call list available, dispatch radio fully charged and operations radio should always be left on channel 9 and should always be fully charged.

4. Responsibilities

  • Monitor radio traffic
  • Ensure proper radio etiquette
  • Ensure drivers make only necessary radio calls
  • Ensure proper radio call signs are used for the appropriate action needed.
  • Make hourly SAFETY massages.
  • Enforce Company Policies, Procedures CBA and Safety
  • Dispatchers will make sure to complete the necessary attendance write-ups for call offs, late arrivals, early departures and No Call No Shows. Dispatchers must place attendance write-ups in the HR Managers box.
  • Dispatchers will perform periodic checks for DOT licensing and Medical cards.
  • Scheduling
  • Keep holes in schedule filled (utilize the on call list-any on call employee who refuses to work 3 or more times must be written up)
  • Bus readiness
  • Spot check pre/post trip inspections
  • File pre-trip inspections properly
  • Keeps a log of bus maintenance issues
  • Additional duties
  • Performs physical work as needed including but not limited to:

Standing, assisting stuck/sidetracked/broke down busses, Inspects busses and employees for general appearance (proper clean uniforms, shirts tucked), safety compliance and maintenance conditions.

  • Monitors Ride Share System, keeping it up to date.
  • Consistently monitor on-time performance and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure the office/facility is clean and well maintained. This to include the checking break room/bathroom trash, refilling supplies as needed, taking out office trash.
  • Office Safety

Dispatchers must be aware of the potential for sensitive information getting into the wrong hands. If you leave the office, all doors must be locked and secured. This includes the side door, the front door to the office and the front door to the building.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 per hour
